For the 2006 DTM season Audi Sport built 1x test car and 4x R12+ race cars. The race cars were for Heinz Harald Frentzen, Mattias Ekstrom, Martyn Tomczyk, and Tom Kristensen. These cars were run by Audi Sport team ABT Sportsline in the 2006 championship. The car we are offering for sale is chassis #304, the Tom Kristensen car. Tom won 2x races in the 2006 DTM, and placed 3rd overall at the end of the season, placing him top of the works Audi drivers. For 2007 the car went to Team Rosberg, and was driven by Mike Rockenfeller, then in 2008 to privateer Team Kolles, and driven by Christian Albers. The car was later sold to the Bohemia Racing Team (BRT) in the Czech Republic, and in 2018 to a private collector in New Zealand.
This car has recently been restored to its original livery, and completed a shakedown test, with no issues reported. It comes with an extensive spares package, including a spare set of bodywork, spare Hewland gearbox, 1x spare set of wheels, and wheel socket.
