Built in 2008 by UK rallying legends Rally Engineering Developments (R.E.D.) this 1972 Ford Escort is a beautiful example of the world famous RS1600 Group 4 rally car. Finished in Ermine white, it is powered by a BDA engine, through a ZF 5 speed transmission which feeds through to the Atlas rear axle. Some modern updates include an electric power steering column (EPAS) Stack tacho, VDO gauges, OMP seats, Coralba tripmeter, Lifeline Zero fire extinguisher, alloy rad and high output Denso alternator. Has only completed one Silver Fern rally in NZ rallies since being built, and has sat in a collection ever since. With a build provenance such as this guaranteeing its future value, this is one Escort you will love to tackle a classic rally in!
